Job Summary: 

The Product Marketing - Assays will be responsible for management of all of our current and future Assay product lines. The individual will also develop and coordinate an integrated strategy for other diagnostics.

Responsibilities will include product strategy, product marketing, product development, product improvements, product obsolescence, sales force preparation, supply forecast, ensuring product quality and product line P&L. The individual will need to work effectively across our Customer Facing Organization and Operations functions to meet product goals and ensure customer satisfaction.

As a business leader, the individual will need to collaborate across product lines and business units to optimize business results and goal attainment.



Responsible for driving product management & results:

*Develop an integrated product line strategy and commercial plan for Assay products.

*Other products (where appropriate, working in collaboration with other product managers responsible for platforms that run these tests)

*Prepare for launch of products

* Develop launch plan (pricing, positioning, promotion, etc.)

* Oversee product development requirements

* Prepare Customer Facing Organization for launch

* Develop Key Opinion Leader support

* Manage alliances and collaboration with partners and vendors to leverage value to customers.

* Oversee all cross-functional activities to support the product line over time.

* Identify and drive improvements to current products and identify new test/product opportunities

* Drive product-marketing activities for the Assay product line

* Segment/classify customers to identify market opportunities (acquisition, retention, & utilization)

* Select/target marketing opportunities based on relative financial returns

* Develop communications strategies aligned with targeted opportunities

* Design, implement, drive, and measure targeted programs/promotions

* Continuously update understanding of customers and competitors

* Determine, communicate and counteract competitive strategies and offerings

* Coordinate/support Regulatory approvals

*Develop training materials on product and solution benefits and competitive advantages, and train sales force on Features, Advantages, and Benefit and competition.

* Take on product financial responsibility: including creating and managing revenue and demand forecasts



Four-year college degree or equivalent



* 3-5 years relevant work experience in sales, marketing and/or product management, preferably in life sciences

* Experience with core marketing activities, strategy development, development and product launch
