Role

This position is a key contributor to sales and marketing, as well as a key interface to the global product management team. Responsible for managing marketing-related communications via multiple vehicles including internal web sites, emails, presentations. Experienced with developing, creating and communicating sales and marketing strategies and plans for products sold in the Japanese market. Will have to manage multiple projects, possess strong communication skills coupled with process-oriented thinking. Will also require a strong understanding of the sales process and be able to represent customers to the organization, both locally and internationally.

Market Research

  • Map out market space (trends, potentials)
  • Identify market opportunities and risks
  • Identify logical market requirements

Strategic Planning / Budgeting

  • Make and propose a strategic plan
  • Formulate a budget in line with such strategic plan.

Competitive Analyses

  • Identify key players in Japan for all market places
  • Compare competitive product offering
  • Research competitive pricing and positioning and translate into actions

Product Portfolio

  • Initiate and get involved in all stages of new product introduction process
  • Proof read and validate new product road map, specifications, white papers, etc
  • Formulate clear value propositions and profitability calculations for all products
  • Investigate new product sales potential in the various markets and channels
  • Work for and attend a medical congress or workshop involved.

Training

  • Include sales product training for both internal staff and channels
